Inaugural Meeting of USA Diocese Executive Council.
Opening Address Presented by: Sup. Evang. Joseph Olorunnisola – Gen. Superintendent
Venue & Time:Comforter Parish, Los Angeles, CA. April 25, 2009

Let me first express my unreserved gratitude and appreciation unto our God Almighty and His Son – our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for making this day possible, and for granting everyone here present journey mercies. I want to thank the Holy Trinity for the gift of Celestial Church of Christ to the world at our time and for His abiding Holy Spirit operating within the church. May His name and glory forever remain blessed and exalted. Once again, I welcome everyone here present today and I profoundly thank you for answering the call of the only Good Shepherd.

Your call at this particular point in time is not an easy one, but a divine commission to excellence, to tenacity of purpose, to determination in uplifting the name of this great church from a depth of indignation, depravity and decadence. Celestial Church of Christ has become another name for everything that is evil and ungodly in this part of the world. But we all know for certainty that this church is heavenly, it is a mirror image of what happens in Heaven; the mode of worship is heavenly and the ordinances are those of the angels. This church is perfect, the core tenets and mode are divine and the commission is irrevocably clear – to harvest souls unto Heaven and prepare believers for the day of rapture.

You have therefore been called to repair the broken bridge and rebuild the demolished wall of Celestial – it’s wall of morale and integrity. It is a clarion call for total commitment, total re-dedication and spiritually strong determination to revitalize things.

There is no looking back, no time for pettiness and squabbles. Unless we are determinately focused, it may be difficult for us to accomplish our divine goal, because there are forces of confusion, forces of politics, forces of compromise and other subterranean forces operating within both the internal and external environs of the church. Negative forces that are determined to keep the church perpetually in confusion and in retrogression. We must, therefore, move in the spirit of Joshua and operate with the precision of Paul the apostle.

We all know that most of us owe our deliverance, blessing, attainments and recognition to this church – it is therefore simply ungodly, unfair and damnable for us to have inherited precious diamond from the founding founders and ended up handing down worthless mortar to our children who are unfortunately unwilling to worship in this great church because of the ostensibly unchristian behavior of the parents, and the progressive innovation and disciple in other contemporary Christian denominations, which they now embrace.

The task before us is evidently enormous and profoundly challenging, but with the Lord being our Strength and help, we shall succeed. I thank you all for listening.
